Mediation
The Human Being in Conflict handling
What is mediation
"Mediation is a confidential and structured process in which parties, with the assistance of one or more mediators, voluntarily and autonomously seek a mutually agreeable solution to resolve their conflict."
"A mediator is an independent and neutral person without decision-making authority who guides the parties through mediation."
"The parties may terminate the mediation at any time.“

What I can do
Guide organisations and teams towards resolution when conflict arises
Settling disputes in the private environment (inheritance, separation, neighborhood, association)
Resolve disagreements about changes and (far-reaching) decisions
My primary focus
Making myself redundant as a mediator and providing guidance on how to resolve future conflicts
Advantages of mediation
Mediation works, 80% of cases come to an agreement
Mediation is an alternative to other procedures, e.g. legal disputes, arbitration.
Mediation is sustainable, the participants control the process and work out agreements
Mediation is designed to resolve the core conflicts quickly
Mediation is confidential, it takes place in a protected environment with agreed communication rules
Mediation is relationship-building, fosters the relationship between the involved parties in the conflict

What do I work with
As a certified mediator, educated at the Heidelberg Institute for Mediation (HIM) as well as the University of Heidelberg, I work with the “Heidelberger Mediation Modell”.
In case the conflict resolution process requires the assistance of a co-mediator,
suitable partners are available.
